    Chase Bank is a global banking powerhouse that claims to serve almost half of the U.S. population. Chase bank is a division of JPMorgan Chase & Co., which has over $2.6 trillion in assets.     Who Is Chase Bank Best For?

    Chase Bank may be attractive to those who prefer dealing with the resources of a megabank. The products and services available may appeal to anybody who wants to:

    • Use a free checking account—assuming you qualify for a waiver—with online bill pay, a debit card, and paper checks.
    • Minimize bank relationships (and passwords) by opening credit cards and checking accounts at the same institution.
    • Bank in person or use ATMs frequently.
    • Earn rewards for using a credit card.

    What Does Chase Bank Offer?

    Given the bank’s size, it’s not surprising that Chase Bank has a broad offering of products and services for both individuals and businesses.

    Chase Savings

    The Chase Savings account pays a small amount of interest, but the APY is unimpressive. As of Feb. 24, 2020, the account pays 0.01% APY, while the best high-yield savings accounts elsewhere pay more than 2.00%. This account has a $5 monthly fee, but you can qualify for a fee waiver if you meet any of the following criteria:

    • Keep your balance above $300 at the beginning of each day.
    • Save at least $25 per month from a personal Chase checking account or Chase Liquid card.
    • Link a Chase College Checking account, and use the savings account for overdraft protection.
    • You are under the age of 18.
    • Link this account to specific premium Chase checking accounts.

    Chase savings accounts allow for six withdrawals per month. No matter what type of withdrawal you make, including withdrawals from a teller or ATM, each transaction counts against your limit. After using up your six withdrawals, you pay $5 for each subsequent withdrawal in the month. 

    The Chase withdrawal limit is more stringent than what’s required by Regulation D limits under federal law (which doesn’t restrict certain withdrawals such as ATM and branch withdrawals).

    Chase Premier Savings

    The Chase Premier Savings account allows you to earn slightly more than the standard Chase Savings account, but the difference is small. To earn higher rates, you must keep a sizable balance in a Chase Premier Plus Checking or Chase Sapphire Checking account—and complete at least five transactions per month in those accounts.

    Chase Premier Savings has a $25 monthly maintenance charge, but you might qualify for a waiver if you do one of the following: 

    • Keep at least $15,000 in the account.
    • Open a linked Chase Premier Plus Checking or Chase Sapphire Checking account.

    Like the standard Chase Savings account above, withdrawal limits apply.

    Chase Total Checking

    Chase Total Checking is, according to Chase, the bank’s most popular checking account. With online bill pay and access through a mobile app, this account can easily satisfy the day-to-day checking needs of most people. Key features include:

    • Mobile check deposit
    • ATM check deposit
    • Paper checks
    • Zelle transfers to friends and family

    The Total Checking account has a monthly fee of $12, but you can qualify for a waiver by meeting any of the following requirements:

    • Receive direct deposits of at least $500 per month into your account (including ACH transfers from other banks).
    • Keep at least $1,500 in your account.
    • Keep at least $5,000 combined in eligible linked accounts and Total Checking.

    If this is your primary checking account, it can work as a free checking account (assuming you earn at least $500 monthly and set up direct deposit).

    Chase Premier Plus Checking

    The Chase Premier Plus Checking account pays a small amount of interest and provides a few freebies each month. But the interest earnings are negligible at 0.01% APY. If you really want to earn interest in a checking account, you’re probably better off with a high-interest checking account from an online bank.

    This account might be appealing to those who have a substantial relationship with Chase. To avoid the $25 monthly fee, you need to meet one of these criteria:

    • Keep your daily balance at $15,000 or higher in qualifying Chase Bank accounts.
    • Have a qualifying Chase mortgage that you pay from your Chase account.

    Chase Premier Plus Checking has all of the features of Total Checking. Plus, you receive a few perks, including the highlights below:

    • Four foreign ATM withdrawal fees waived per month (the ATM owner may charge fees, and Chase may charge extra when using a currency besides U.S. dollars)
    • Free basic personal checks, counter checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks
    • Potential monthly fee waivers on additional Chase checking and savings accounts
    • Free or discounted safe deposit boxes

    Chase Sapphire Checking

    Chase Sapphire Checking offers additional benefits, but the hurdle for banking fee-free is higher. In addition to 24/7 customer support and higher ATM and debit card limits, this account includes:

    • No ATM fees worldwide. Chase does not charge foreign ATM fees with this account, and you receive rebates on fees imposed by ATM owners, as well.
    • Interest on your balance
    • No wire transfer or stop payment fees
    • Four free overdrafts per year
    • Other perks and discounts on additional Chase services

    To qualify for a waiver of the $25 monthly fee, you must keep an average balance of $75,000 in eligible accounts or investments with Chase.

    Chase Secure Checking

    Chase Secure Checking is a no-frills account that may be appealing if you’re just getting on your feet financially. There are no paper checks with this account, but you can pay bills through online bill pay or with your debit card.

    • No minimum deposit required
    • No overdraft fees
    • $4.95 monthly fee

    Chase College Checking

    Chase College Checking is Chase Bank’s version of student checking. This account is designed for customers who open an account between the ages of 17 and 24. Although there’s a $6 monthly maintenance fee, there are several ways to qualify for a waiver:

    • Be enrolled in college (up to five years)
    • Have a monthly direct deposit into the account
    • Keep an average daily balance of at least $5,000

    If you link a Chase Savings account to this one for overdrafts, you’ll pay no monthly fees on the savings account. 

    This account might be an easy and affordable option for college students who spend their time studying, as opposed to earning income. 

    Chase High School Checking

    Want to help your children learn about managing a budget and saving money? The Chase High School checking account is available to kids between the ages of 13 and 17 and has no monthly fee. A parent or guardian with an eligible Chase Bank checking account must be a co-owner on the account, and the account converts to a Total Checking account when the child reaches age 19.

    Certificates of Deposit

    Chase Bank CDs require $1,000 to open, and you can choose a term ranging from one month to 10 years. Given that Chase Bank is a traditional brick-and-mortar bank, it’s not surprising that rates are somewhat low. To maximize your rate, be sure to qualify for a “relationship rate” with a linked checking account and a purchase of at least $10,000.

    These CDs are available for terms of 21, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 60, 84, and 120 months.

    It's excellent, packed with technology

    I have done a review of the chase app over a year ago and had a lot to gripe about. I hated the fact that you had to accept quickpays. I also hated the fact that you needed to login to conduct transactions after you used your finger print to get into your app. Both of these annoyances have been fixed with this update. I absolutely love the way chase deducts the money for Bill pays right on the spot. It makes your balances so much easier to manage. I love the freshness and the high-tech feel of the app. One area for improvement would be to allow a direct dialed phone call to a representative right from the app having already completed the authentication process. Also, allow the app to show images of all transactions, including deposits just like BOA does. Other than those 2, the app is perfect.
    Update. I also love managing my brokerage account right through the app with the ability to move money quickly between my brokerage and checking account. This app is really the best of the best in the banking world.

    Mortgage experience and mobile experience stink

    I was a chase credit card customer and the app was always fine for what I needed. We’re currently going through the home loan process and your app is embarrassingly terrible. I can’t believe such a large bank has an app that can’t render on an iPhone. For two or three weeks we had someone listed in the app as part of our loan team and it wasn’t the correct rep. We kept reaching out to him with no response, come to find out that we got put with a different rep but the app doesn’t update that detail into the loan moves into a new status. What?! The screens are all tiny and you can’t zoom in!! You can’t download the documents from your phone either. You also can’t go into the mortgage portal and open a document and try to go back and do something. The app signs you out instantly. The reps even mentioned how terrible it was. Anytime I use the app to look for tasks I have to close the app and re log in multiple times. The message your team function is completely useless. Our rep told us she doesn’t get a notice when we message through that method and to email her instead. Why the heck even put it there?! We also have been asked repeatedly to upload the same information over and over. According to the rep, they have tons of issues seeing our documents and they get “lost”. How reassuring. It’s only the biggest purchase I’ve ever made and all of my personal information. Y’all need to fix these issues. This app is bad.

    Terrible Customer Service and App

    First of all I rarely leave negative reviews, if my experience is less than satisfactory I will simply choose to leave no review rather than a negative one. That said the Chase bank as well as their app left me little choice. Let’s start with the app. For weeks I could not even use it because every time I tried signing in it would crash forcing me to use a cumbersome web browser for my mobile banking. Once the app started working (about a month and several updates later) I found it to have way less features and to be much less organized than any other banking app I have used. This alone was disappointing however their customer service is even worse which I find quite disturbing for an organization that handles ones finances. They seem to know very little of what they are doing as they misplaced several important documents that I had faxed them directly from a bank branch claiming they had not received them forcing me to spend hours sending them though several different formats. After this I call back only talk to a different representative to find out they had received the fax a week ago when I had sent it originally. This alone was very frustrating but to make it worse customer service was very unfriendly and unhelpful which I found quite unprofessional for a banking institution. Sadly from my experience I would not recommend this app nor chase bank itself. Sorry

    Zelle () is a United States–based digital payments network owned by Early Warning Services, LLC, a private financial services company owned by the banks Bank of America, BB&T, Capital One, JPMorgan Chase, PNC Bank, U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo.[1][2][3] The Zelle service enables individuals to electronically transfer money from their bank account to another registered user's bank account (within the United States) using a mobile device or the website of a participating banking institution.[1][3]

    The Zelle instant payment service was launched in June 2017.[1] Previously, the Zelle service was known as clearXchange, which offered payment services through member financial institutions and a website. Launched in April 2011, clearXchange was originally owned by Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo. After Capital One and US Bank joined as additional partners, clearXchange was sold to Early Warning Services in January 2016.[4] In December 2017, all clearXchange accounts for person-to-person payment services were rebranded as "Zelle", and clearXchange users began being required to recreate their profiles in Zelle to continue using the service.

    History[edit]

    • In April 2011, the clearXchange service was launched. It was originally owned and operated by Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo.[5][6] The service offered person-to-person (P2P), business-to-consumer (B2C), and government-to-consumer (G2C) payments.[7]
    • For person-to-person payments, clearXchange enabled users to send money to other registered users having accounts at participating banks in the United States. Users accessed the network within the websites and apps of member financial institutions,[5] and through clearXchange's website. The network connected with existing bank accounts, so consumers would not need to fund a separate account to use the service.[6] This feature and the lack of fees for using the service were highlighted as advantages for competition with other person-to-person payment services such as PayPal, Popmoney, and Square.[5][6] The system associated each user bank account with an email address and mobile phone number, so only the recipient's email address or mobile number was needed to send money directly from a bank account to the bank account of another person who had signed up for the service.[8][9][10]
    • Over time, the number of financial institutions that were affiliated with clearXchange grew to include various other banks and credit unions. Capital One and US Bank were added as additional owner-members.[9][10]
    • In June 2015, clearXchange announced the availability of a real-time payment system.[11][12] However, some transactions could take as much as five days or longer to be completed.[13]
    • In January 2016, clearXchange was sold to Early Warning Services.[14] Early Warning Services is owned by Bank of America, BB&T, Capital One, JPMorgan Chase, PNC Bank, US Bank, and Wells Fargo.[2]
    • In September 2017, Early Warning Services released the Zelle payment system and mobile app[15] and announced that all clearXchange "person-to-person" payment service accounts would be deactivated in December 2017. After that, clearXchange stopped supporting person-to-person payments but has continued to provide payments from companies and government entities to certain customers. The company encouraged the former users of clearXchange to sign up for the new Zelle service.[16] As in the former clearXchange service, payees are identified in the Zelle service by an association between the recipient's bank account and an email address or mobile phone number.[16] Money sent to a registered payee who has an account at a financial institution that is a member of the Zelle network is typically available to the recipient "within minutes".[17]
    • In March 2019, Early Warning Services's CEO, Paul Finch, stepped down to work with the Finch Family Foundation, a Phoenix, Arizona, nonprofit organization that serves needy families and children. Finch cited his long tenure, the completion of the launch of the Zelle network, and the company's plans to start new projects as reasons for the timing of his departure.[18]
    • In May 2019, Early Warning Services appointed their new CEO, Albert Ko. Before his appointment, Ko was the chief transformation officer for Intuit. While with Intuit, Ko was the general manager for Mint, as well as an overseer of QuickBooks.[19]

    The Zelle service[edit]

    The Zelle service is intended for payments to those whom the payer already knows and trusts adequately, and the service disclaims any responsibility for goods and services sold through the system.[20][21]

    Zelle users can send money to other registered Zelle users. (They can also attempt to send money to unregistered recipients, in which case the intended recipient will receive an invitation to sign up for the service in order to complete the transaction.) Users access the network within the websites and apps of Zelle-participating U.S. financial institutions[5] and through the Zelle mobile app. To register with the Zelle mobile app, users must enroll a supported MasterCard or Visa-branded debit card issued in connection with a U.S. bank account.[22]

    The network connects with existing bank accounts, so consumers do not need to fund a separate account to use the service.[6] Only the recipient's email address or mobile number is needed for a user to send money directly from their bank account to the recipient's bank account.[8]

    An email address or mobile phone number may only be actively enrolled in Zelle to receive payments at one financial institution. To register at multiple banks, users need to provide different email addresses or mobile phone numbers for each.[23]

    A Zelle user can transfer money to a recipient or submit a request for others to send a payment, or to split the cost of a payment.[24][25]

    There are limits on the dollar amount and frequency of transactions allowed on Zelle that are imposed by the banking institution associated with the account being used.[20] For example, transfers from most Wells Fargo funding accounts are limited to $2,500 per day and $20,000 in a 30-day period, and lower limits may apply for new payees or when using the Zelle mobile app rather than the bank's self-operated services.[20][26] Transfers from a Chase checking account are limited to $2,000 per day and $16,000 per calendar month.[20][27]

    Payments made using Zelle cannot be canceled (unless an attempt was made to send a payment to someone who has not enrolled in the service).[28]

    The website for Zelle that was launched in June 2017 says that "Transactions between enrolled Zelle users typically occur in minutes. If your recipient is not yet enrolled with Zelle, it may take between 1 and 3 business days after they enroll."[15]

    Competition with PayPal's Venmo service[edit]

    The Zelle service's principal competitor is PayPal and its Venmo payment service.[1][29] Venmo is more popular, based on public awareness, opinion polling, and active engagement with users, but Zelle processes a much larger dollar volume of money transfers—reportedly US$75 billion in its first year, 2017.[1][3][21][25]

    The two services work very similarly from the user's perspective – e.g., both services use email addresses and mobile phone numbers to identify recipients, but Venmo lacks the direct integration with banking institutions that Zelle has, and Zelle money transfers are typically processed more quickly.[25]

    Starting in January 2018, Venmo began to also offer a more rapid transfer option than its typical 1–3 day transfer service, but Venmo charges a fee for the service, while Zelle-affiliated banks currently do not.[30][31]

    The Zelle network itself does not charge users a fee for money transfers.[32] Banks are allowed to charge a fee for Zelle transfers involving their accounts, but they have generally not chosen to do so.[20][30]

    Venmo requires its users to set up an account in its system that is separate from an ordinary banking account and is does zelle work with chase business accounts insured by FDIC or NCUA, which banking accounts are.[25] The Venmo account can be linked to a bank account so that necessary funds will be automatically withdrawn from there. However, funds can only be withdrawn from a Venmo account by first transferring them to a bank does zelle work with chase business accounts and then withdrawing the money from the bank account (a process that adds an extra step and involves some additional delay and possibly a fee). In contrast, Zelle transfers money directly between bank accounts, so it requires no separate account or extra steps to obtain access to funds. Zelle is also accessible through banking institution websites and apps as well as through the separate Zelle mobile app.

    It is not possible to cancel a payment to an existing Venmo account unless the recipient gives their explicit permission. Once a payment is sent, the funds are available to the recipient right away. The only exception is if payment is sent to a phone number or email address that has not been registered with a Venmo account.[33] Like Venmo, Zelle payments to a registered user cannot be canceled.

    Partners[edit]

    The Zelle Network includes more than 100 participants, including the network partners MasterCard and Visa; the processor partners CO-OP Financial Services, FIS, Fiserv, and Jack Henry & Associates; and numerous financial institutions.[34] Zelle is currently in the process of establishing more banks and credit unions into their network. They have officially partnered with institutions such as Bank of Hawaii, Comerica Bank, Morgan Stanley, and M&T Bank.[35]

    Criticism[edit]

    The Zelle service has received negative publicity for fraud incidents in which bank customers' accounts were compromised through social engineering and Zelle then set up by the fraudsters and used to transfer funds out of the victims' accounts, leaving victims with little practical or legal recourse. In some cases, bank customers have been compensated by the banks involved, depending upon the bank and its policies and the specifics of the incident. Banks may use secondary confirmation methods such as SMS or otherwise place limits on newly created accounts and transfers to recently added recipients as a preventive measure.[1][36][37][3][21][38][39][26]

      The convenience, speed and security of peer-to-peer money transfer apps are here to stay within the financial landscape. An estimated 96 million P2P transactions will take place in 2019 alone, according to eMarketer, a market research company. And banks like Chase have jumped on the bandwagon: In mid-2017, Chase replaced its previous Chase QuickPay app for a new Zelle-powered offering, called Chase QuickPay with Zelle. When you bank with Chase, you can leverage this partnership between Chase and Zelle to quickly and easily transfer money to family and friends — for free.

      What Is Zelle?

      Zelle is a service that lets you make payments and receive money, either through the Zelle app or through participating bank apps. It is utilized by several financial institutions to compete with the standalone Venmo app, with a focus on being used within a bank’s own mobile app. Zelle’s security features ensure that Chase QuickPay with Zelle transactions are safe, and recipients who don’t already have an account at a participating financial institution can quickly sign up for a Zelle account to access the funds they receive.

      Note that Chase QuickPay with Zelle is different from Chase Pay, which allows a customer to make payments using their phone at participating retailers and to redeem their Chase Ultimate Rewards points for a statement credit.

      How To Set Up Chase QuickPay With Zelle

      You need a Chase checking account to use Chase QuickPay with Zelle, and you must have a Chase.com login. Once you meet those requirements, you can enroll in Chase QuickPay with Zelle by following these steps:

      1. Sign in to the Chase website with your username and password. You can enroll on the website before continuing with the Chase QuickPay with Zelle process if you don’t already have an account.
      2. Select the “Chase QuickPay with Zelle” from the “Pay & transfer” menu.
      3. Review and accept the Chase QuickPay service agreement and privacy notice.
      4. Verify your email address or mobile phone number via the one-time code that Chase will send to you.
      5. Select the checking account or Chase Liquid card you wish to use to make your Chase QuickPay with Zelle payment.
      6. Once you’ve completed the steps, you’re ready to request, receive and send money.

      How To Send or Request Money Using Chase QuickPay With Zelle

      Chase customers can access Chase QuickPay with Zelle through the Chase mobile banking app. To send money, simply enter the email address or mobile phone number of the person you wish to pay and the amount you’re sending. Send money to or request money from anyone by following these five simple steps:

      1. Sign in to the Chase Mobile app.
      2. Select either “Send Money” or “Request and Split Money” in the “QuickPay with Zelle” tab of the navigation menu.
      3. Choose an existing recipient from your contacts or add a new one.
      4. Check the payment information for accuracy.
      5. Tap “Send Money” or “Request Money.”

      You’ll receive a confirmation that the transaction was successful, and the recipient will receive instructions on how to complete the process and claim the money. If you’re requesting money, the party on the other end of the transaction will get a notification.

      Timing for Payments

      When you send a payment to someone using Chase QuickPay with Zelle, it’s helpful to know when the payment might arrive:

      • For recipients with a Chase account, the money usually arrives within minutes, but no later than the next business day.
      • For does zelle work with chase business accounts who bank at a different Zelle member bank that supports real-time payments, the transaction typically takes only minutes. Otherwise, the funds are available within one to two business days.
      • For recipients who bank at a financial institution that is not a Zelle member, funds should be available within one to two business days, depending on the bank’s processing times.
      • Recipients who are using the Zelle app will get the money soon after it’s sent, according to Chase.

      Sending Limits for Chase QuickPay With Zelle

      Chase QuickPay with Zelle transfers money electronically to and from your bank account. Although you’re able to receive unlimited amounts of money, there are some limits on what you can send:

      • Chase personal checking account or Chase Liquid card: The limit is $2,000 per single transaction, up to $2,000 in one day, and no more than $16,000 in a calendar month.
      • Business checking accounts: Single transactions are limited to $5,000, up to $5,000 in one day, with a $40,000 park community credit union online banking login per calendar month.
      • Chase Private Client and Private Banking client accounts: Single transactions are limited to $5,000, up to $5,000 in one day, with a $40,000 cap per calendar month.

      Chase QuickPay with Zelle is free for both sending and receiving money. The only charge is any applicable data usage or message fees imposed by your mobile carrier.

      One important distinction between the Chase QuickPay app that’s powered by Zelle and Chase Online Bill Pay is that Zelle is only meant for peer-to-peer transactions. To schedule one-time or ongoing payments for expenses like rent, utilities, car payments and credit card bills, you must use the bill pay service.

      Tips for Safely Using Peer-to-Peer Payment Apps

      Chase QuickPay with Zelle isn’t the only peer-to-peer payment app — and it’s certainly not the first. That designation would go to PayPal, which has been around since December 1998. In the two-plus decades since PayPal made its debut, plenty of other P2P payment apps have cropped up: Venmo (which is a subsidiary of PayPal), Cash App, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all players in the P2P payment game. You can even make peer-to-peer payments via Facebook Messenger. In today’s world, there’s really no excuse not to split the bill the next time you’re out for lunch with friends. With so many options out there, it’s important to consider the potential risks of using these payment apps.

      When you send money via P2P apps, you must be diligent about sending the money to the right person. Always double- or triple-check the contact information of the person you are sending the money to. You might also want to let them know in advance that you’re sending funds their way. Before you tap the “Send Money” button, make sure you’re sending the correct amount. It’s not outside the realm of possibility to accidentally send $1,000 rather than $10.

      The Chase website offers this disclaimer: “Make sure you send money to people you know and trust in order to avoid scams and protect your account. We don’t protect or cover purchases if you use QuickPay to pay for goods or services.”

      It's excellent, packed with technology

      I have done a review of the chase app over a year ago and had a lot to gripe about. I hated the fact that you had to accept quickpays. I also hated the fact that you needed to login to conduct transactions after you used your finger print to get into your app. Both of these annoyances have been fixed with this update. I absolutely love the way chase deducts the money for Bill pays right on the spot. It makes your balances so much easier to manage. I love the freshness and the high-tech feel of the app. One area for improvement would be to allow a direct dialed phone call to a representative right from the app having already completed the authentication process. Also, allow the app to show images of all transactions, including deposits just like BOA does. Other than those 2, the app is perfect.
      Update. I also love managing my brokerage account right through the app with the ability to move money quickly between my brokerage and checking account. This app is really the best of the best in the banking world.

      Mortgage experience and mobile experience stink

      I was a chase credit card customer and the app was always fine for what I needed. We’re currently going through the home loan chase bank child support card phone number and your app is embarrassingly terrible. I can’t believe such a large bank has an app that can’t render on an iPhone. For two or three weeks we had someone listed in the app as part of our loan team and it wasn’t the correct rep. We kept reaching out to him with no response, come to find out that we got put with a different rep but the app doesn’t update that detail into the loan moves into a new status. What?! The screens are all tiny and you can’t zoom in!! You can’t download the documents from your phone either. You also can’t go into the mortgage portal and open a document and try to go back and do something. The app signs you out instantly. The reps even mentioned how terrible it was. Anytime I use the app to look for tasks I have to close the app and re log in multiple times. The message your team function is completely useless. Our rep told us she doesn’t get a notice when we message through that method and to email her instead. Why the heck even put it there?! We also have been asked repeatedly to upload the same information over and over. According to the rep, they have tons of issues seeing our documents and they get “lost”. How reassuring. It’s only the biggest purchase I’ve ever made and all of my personal information. Y’all need to fix these issues. This app is bad.

      Terrible Customer Service and App

      First of all I rarely leave negative reviews, if my experience is less than satisfactory I will simply choose to leave no review rather than a negative one. That said the Chase bank as well as their app left me little choice. Let’s start with the app. For weeks I could not even use it because every time I tried signing in it would crash forcing me to use a cumbersome web browser for my mobile banking. Once the app started working (about does zelle work with chase business accounts month and several updates later) I found it to have way less features and to be much less organized than any other banking app I have used. This alone was disappointing however their customer service is even worse which I find quite disturbing for an organization that handles ones finances. They seem to know very little of what they are doing as they misplaced several important documents that I had faxed them directly from a bank branch claiming they had not received them forcing me to spend hours sending them though several different formats. After this I call back only talk to a different representative to find out they had received the fax a week ago when I had sent it does zelle work with chase business accounts. This alone was very frustrating but to make it worse customer service was very unfriendly and unhelpful which I found quite unprofessional for a banking institution. Sadly from my experience I would not recommend this app nor chase bank itself. Sorry

      One very important thing to note is: not every U.S. bank is partnered with Zelle. It is constantly working on adding more and more banks to the network.

      The best part:

      If your bank is partnered with Zelle, you don't need to do much to use Zelle because the bank has everything set up already -- you can begin sending money right away through your bank's online account or mobile banking app.

      If someone was able to access your account without your authorization, you wouldn’t want them to be able to empty your bank account through Zelle.

      • If your recipient is not already enrolled with Zelle, funds won't be delivered until they enroll

      When someone sends you money, you'll get a text message or e-mail. If you're expecting a payment but don't see it under "Activity," make sure the person sending you money has entered the same mobile number or e-mail address you used to enroll in Send Money with Zelle®.

      When you request money from someone, you can specify the amount and the reason.

      • Open the TD Bank mobile app or log in to Online Banking
      • Select "Send Money" - in Online Banking you'll find "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
      • Select "Request"
      • Choose the person from which you're requesting funds, or select "Add New Contact" and enter their U.S. mobile number or e-mail address
      • If you have added a contact with an account and routing number, you won't see that contact in the "Request" function
      • Enter the amount and select "Review"
      • Enter a reason if you'd like, then select "Request"
      • Let your contact know you have sent the request - they must approve it before funds will be delivered to your TD Bank account

      You'll see a confirmation screen, and you'll be notified when the requested funds have been delivered to your TD Bank account.

      Note: you can send a request for money to anyone, but the contact must be enrolled with Zelle in order to approve your request.

      You can split an amount-like a dinner bill, utility bill or rent-with up to 5 other people.

      • Open the TD Bank mobile app or log in to Online Banking
      • Select "Send Money" - in Online Banking you'll find "Send Money with Zelle®" under "Transfers"
      • Select "Split" to display your contact list
      • Choose the people that are splitting the bill (select up to 5), or select "Add New Contact" and enter their U.S. mobile number or e-mail address
      • If you have added a contact with an account and routing number, you won't see that contact in the "Split" function
      • Enter the total amount you'd like to split between yourself and the contacts
      • Adjust the amount requested from each person if you'd like (your portion will be automatically deducted)
      • Enter a reason if you'd like, then select "Split"
      • Let your contacts know you have sent the request - they must accept it before funds will be delivered to your TD Bank account

      You'll see a confirmation screen, and you'll be notified when the requested funds have been delivered to your TD Bank account.

      1Send Money with Zelle® is available for most personal checking and money market accounts. To use Send Money with Zelle® you must have an Online Banking profile with a U.S. address, a unique U.S. mobile phone number, an active unique e-mail address, and a Social Security Number.
